Content of the Learning Channel

Q: What is the Learning Channel Plus?

A: The Learning Channel Plus is a subscription-based service specifically designed for contact center professionals engaged in the training or coaching of contact center agents. It provides subscribers with access to over 30 educational videos and a User’s Guide, all designed for improving call center agent soft skills in a variety of subjects and topics.

Q: What kind of content is available on the Learning Channel Plus?

A: The Learning Channel Plus offers a wide selection of instructional videos designed specifically for call center agents. Subscribers also receive access to a User’s Guide, which is designed to help you in getting the most out of your subscription. Each video is approximately 5 minutes long, covering topics that are commonly important to call center agents, such as:

  • Active Listening
  • Communication
  • How to Handle Difficult Callers
  • Tone of Voice
  • Empathy
  • How to Handle Stress
  • And many more…

Q: Is the content on the Learning Channel Plus suitable for everyone?

A: The Learning Channel Plus offers a variety of content suitable for call center agents of different age groups, skill levels, and experience levels. All videos are workplace friendly and designed for agent career development in a wide variety of areas. They can be used for group training of currently employed agents, onboarding (initial training) of new hires, as well as for individual coaching sessions.

Q: Why are the videos 5 minutes long?

A: Learning Channel Plus videos have been designed in approximately five-minute lengths, based upon the principles of microlearning, an educational strategy that breaks complex topics down into short-form, stand-alone units of study that can be viewed as many times as necessary, whenever, and wherever the learner has the need. Microlearning videos help Learning & Development teams employ agile training development, offering a wide array of topics. The quick run-times make it easy to view videos in training meetings, coaching sessions, or huddle groups, while also making it feasible to provide one-on-one agent online training, in even the busiest call center schedule.

Q: What is the User’s Guide?

A: The User’s Guide provides instructions on how to get the most from this training resource through group development of current agents, onboarding of new hires, or agent one-on-one coaching sessions. This guide also provides a framework for how to easily find and access the videos based upon their theme and content. This can be used as a guide in developing new training or coaching programs, or in enhancing existing programs.

Q: Are the videos available in languages other than English?

A: Videos contained on the Learning Channel Plus are only available in English at this time.  However, we would be happy to talk with you about creating translated videos that meet your training and coaching needs.

Subscription & Payment

Q: How do I subscribe and pay for the Learning Channel Plus?

A: After subscribing, you will receive an invoice for the annual subscription fee from BenchmarkPortal via email. Once the payment has been received you will receive a welcome letter via email with instructions and access to the content. To subscribe to the Learning Channel Plus, complete the information on the subscription page.

Q: If my subscription is cancelled, can I renew again?

A: If a payment for renewal is not received by the end of the subscription year, your subscription will be cancelled. However, you can renew at any time by following the instructions provided in the renewal notice, or by contacting us at sales@benchmarkportal.com.

Q: Can I pay (or be billed) monthly for the subscription fee?

A: The Learning Channel Plus is paid in a one-time, up-front annual payment. We do not currently accept monthly billing arrangements.

Q: Are there additional fees or charges for accessing content on the Learning Channel Plus?

A: No, there are no additional fees or charges for accessing the content on the Learning Channel Plus beyond the cost of the annual subscription.

Q: How do I renew my subscription? Will I be auto-billed?

A: You will receive a notice from BenchmarkPortal during your last month of subscription, notifying you of your subscription expiration date, and offering you a renewal at that time. You will not be auto-billed for a subscription renewal.

Cancellation & Refunds

Q: Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

A: Yes, you can cancel your subscription to the Learning Channel Plus at any time. If you cancel during a subscription year, you will still have access to the service until the end of that subscription year.

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

A: You can cancel your subscription by emailing us at sales@benchmarkportal.com.

Q: If my subscription is cancelled, can I renew again?

A: If a payment for renewal is not received by the end of the subscription year, your subscription will be cancelled. But you can renew at any time by following the instructions provided in the renewal notice, or by contacting us at sales@benchmarkportal.com.

Q: Can I receive a refund on my subscription?

A: Refunds or credits are not available once an annual subscription has been purchased.

Using the Learning Channel

Q: Can multiple people use the same subscription?

A: Yes, multiple people can use the same subscription to access the content on the Learning Channel Plus. You will have unlimited use and access to the videos during the subscription year, so long as the users (viewers) are employees of the company or organization that purchased the subscription license. Sharing subscription access or content outside of the company or organization that holds the subscription license is not permitted.

Q: How do I access the Learning Channel Plus content?

A: After you subscribe to the Learning Channel Plus you will receive a welcome email that provides you with links to the User Guide and Resources page, and a link to the video content page. You must have an active subscription to access the content. Once on the video content page, simply click on the video of your choice to begin watching.

Q: What devices can I use to access the content on the Learning Channel Plus?

A: The Learning Channel Plus can be accessed through any web browser on a computer or on a mobile device for various platforms, such as iOS and Android.

Q: Is the Learning Channel Plus available in my country?

A: The Learning Channel Plus is currently available in any country or region. It is best to check with your internet service provider and your Information Technology department to determine if it can be accessed by your center. If there are internet restrictions in place at your workplace or on employer provided devices, your technology personnel may need to grant access to the Learning Channel Plus website on those devices.

Q: Can I download video content from the Learning Channel Plus?

A: Videos are designed for viewing only on the Vimeo platform. Downloading or copying videos from the Learning Channel Plus is prohibited.  In certain circumstances, downloading to an LMS may be permitted, subject to signature of a custom license agreement which will include an additional fee.

Troubleshooting

Q: What if the link is not allowing access to the video content page?

A: Using the link provided after subscribing, you should have direct access to a Vimeo page that provides all the video content, as well as a link (at the top of the page) for the User’s Guide. If you are unable to access this page:

  1. Make sure that your subscription is still active and has not expired.
  2. Check to make sure you have correctly copied the subscriber link you were provided.
  3. Check with your IT department or technology personnel to see if your browser is restricted from accessing the page provided in the link. If so, ask them to provide you with access, also referred to as white-listing the URL (web address).
  4. If you are still unable to access this page, please contact BenchmarkPortal’s technical support team at info@benchmarkportal.com. A technical support specialist will contact you within 24 business hours to assist you.

Q: What if I can get to the video content page, but cannot access the User’s Guide?

A: You should be able to access the User’s Guide through the link provided in your welcome email or via the link provided at the top of the video content page. This will take you to a resource landing page where you can click on a link to either view or download the User’s Guide. If you are still unable to access this page, please contact our technical support team at info@benchmarkportal.com. A technical support specialist will contact you within 24 business hours to assist you.

Q: What if I can get to the video content page, but the videos will not play?

A: If you are able to access the video contents page, select (click on) the video you wish to play, then click on the start button located on the video player at the top of the page. If you are still unable to play videos, please contact our technical support team at info@benchmarkportal.com. A technical support specialist will contact you within 24 business hours to assist you.
